ABOUT INTEGRA GOLD CORP. Integra Gold Corp’s main asset is the Lamaque gold property in Val d’Or, Québec, Canada, located in the ‘Valley of Gold’. The gold project is directly adjacent to the currently producing Sigma Mine and the Lamaque Mine which is now closed. These two mines have produced approximately 9 million ounces of gold and recently published an additional 5.5 million ounces of reported resources and reserves. Complete mining support and mill infrastructure is located within one kilometer of the Company gold project.
Drilling at Lamaque re-commenced in 2009 focusing on the expansion and definition of known gold zones as well as testing numerous highly prospective geophysical targets. The Company drilled 17,500 meters in 2010, intersecting significant high-grade gold in all of the zones that were drilled on the property.
The exploration target for 2011 is for continuous drilling of the gold project by way of its 20,000 meter drill program. On March, 2011, Integra Gold announced the discovery of its 13th mineralized zone on the project named the Sigma Zone as part of this drill campaign.
The 2011 resource update of the 2004 Mineral Resource estimate reporting 1,365,000 tons grading 0.186 opt gold (cut) or 0.275 opt (uncut) is underway. The re-logging and assay of drill core from years previous to 2009 continues and will form part of the new resource calculation. |
